Default Anyone else sign up for dial-up to get the true Classic™ experience?

Dug up one of my old AOL disks and I'm ready to go.

I probably played on that server. If it was hosted in MN, that is. I distinctly remember only having 1 playable server

I was very lucky that Charter Cable picked me as one of 10 households in the area to test their cable internet back in 1998. So I have barely ever played an MMO without broadband. I even got to play UO for a bit on cable for some mad PK action.

What I hated most was that windows dial-up controller kept track of your connection time. I lived with my parents then, so they'd always check how long I'd been on. "19 hrs? WTF. Y U NO SCHOOL?"

On AOL you could set parental controls and how long you wanted your children to be online for. My EQ playing got pretty crazy at 11 years old so my mom put a time limit of like an hour and a half on my AOL account. I was fucking crushed
