Exclamation gfay orc exp/consider bug

not sure if this is the correct location for this, sorry if thats the case.

orcs in Gfay and Crushbone are doing a /con yoyo. at level 8 i had orcs con green with the no challenge text that provided no exp and did not agro. i level up to level 9 and now those same orcs are "high green" with "you would have the upper hand" text, they agro and now provide xp comparable to a blue con. im pretty sure this isnt as intended as one level ago they provided 0 XP and would not agro unless i sat near them or attacked them directly and now that i am a level higher they are again providing XP and are proximity hostile like they were at level 7.

its not game breaking by any means, but it can and does cause problems when hunting in those areas. the xp reward is also verging on exploit territory because the XP given for their difficulty is outsized.

This is intended. On live, they changed the con color of those high greens to be light blue around the Luclin time frame.

Light blue con should actually be on P99, it was added before Luclin, it's just that the devs don't care.

Yup, from Nov 7, 2001 (pre-Luclin):

Quote:
We have changed the way the /consider command works. We have added a 'light blue' area between green and blue. NPCs that used to /consider green but gave experience will now /consider light blue, as well as NPCs of slightly lower level than those greens. You will always get experience for something that is light blue. You will not receive experience for greens. At the same time, by including lower level NPCs in the light blue /consider, we have increased the range of lower level NPCs that will grant experience. This will be most noticeable for characters of higher level.
It's close to Luclin, but like four patches prior. Meanwhile custom UI (which I fully support P99 including) was added after Luclin. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

the mobs conning flat green at level 8 and giving no xp and then conning low blue and giving XP at 9 makes no sense and wasnt that way on live. this is a bug.
