How would you break into NG if the roamer is a gating frog? Root him a perfect distance away from the closest bug, pulling only one bug, then fight the bug out of LOS. Rinse and repeat for all 3 bugs and just never kill the pather?
I tried to clear the pather but he gated and then summoned me into two other frogs. if i fail, i have to crawl back down which takes forever so looking for the highest chance play in order to not have to gate out and crawl back down.

I haven’t done it but the most economical way would be to fully debuff with Sini and maybe a tash stick and rely on Forlorn Totem stuns. Prepare to cap out if you get a resist.
The “best” play is a puppet string click and to suicide the frog but 2k pp is a lot for the extra QoL over totem clicking.

Why do NG as a Shaman?
Get down into the safe spot at Crypt. Camp Heiro.

pull one bug and root it, and fight the frog next to the bug, killing frog first? keep bug rooted with sini and no DoTs so it doesnt summon?

Single frog Double bug Single bug Or your way: Frog and bug Double bug If the frog is a shaman it’s pretty rough with the gating and dots and stuff. Maybe my MR gear just isn’t what it should be but a shaman plus a bug sounds pretty tough for where my skill is

You can kill the two froglok crypt guards off to the side by the water. If you pull them all the way to where the lower ledge is the pather won't agro you. Once the two guards are down you can tackle the pather if you want to reroll the shaman spawn to something easier to handle.
Resistance gear goes a long way too. Once you can get to 200+ resists self buffed you resist often in Seb. You can stack Talisman of Shadoo and Resist Poison/Green flower for +85/95 poison res for the froglok Shaman's poison spells. Finally, if you kill gating mobs close enough to their spawn point, they won't gate. https://youtu.be/qS3uoIHTu_c?si=WKJ_Ga94o-VtiiCx Here is an example of me killing the pather in the Chardok graveyard. It can gate, but it's spawn point was not too far away to the left, so it never tried gating. You can also get: https://wiki.project1999.com/Earring_of_Purity https://wiki.project1999.com/Earring_of_Cleansing For manaless cure disease/poison clickies. Then you won't take too much damage from the froglok Shaman's DoTs, even when your resists fail. Hopefully the froglok shaman won't spam the Ice DD too much.

When I did some NG on a bard who wasn't geared enough to easily kill the pather I just didn't kill the pather. If you kill a scarab more or less in the safe spot the frog wont add (might not work with your pet out?). IIRC the scarabs flee from there, so be prepared.

The frogs down there have like a 33% chance of spawning as shamans so if your tactic is to fight near them you might get stuck with your pather getting heals.
if proximity aggro stops gating I wouldn't fetch a second krup I'd just get a zol/dar/bok knight from around the exit tunnel and keep him rooted. But I've done a dozen rounds of that camp and never got a gater. Either I was lucky or it is a rare combo. I almost always got a krup knight so you might either avoid pather or kill it until your luck runs out. Side note: I've only done a dozen rounds of that camp because I thought even on my chanter it was a bigger hassle than the money was worth it. As a torp shaman there are easier and more lucrative camps out there but if you like that one you do you.

I've seen shaman do it, but its really more of a chill enchanter camp where you blast down the 3 bugs and AFK for 20 mins.
As Gore said, theres so many better options. Get 1 good throne from A4 and you'll never think about NG again.
