![]() Here is my flame post
We all know that there are items in the games that are clearly overpowered and should be, or have been nerfed. Circlet of Shadows, Mana stone and robe. These are clearly too strong, and either do not drop anymore or drop in a modified version - however - the original items have not been removed or changed because it would cause problems and be unpopular with the players that own them. One could say - it is unfair to go backwards and change something, even when it is clearly unbalancing the game. Medicine bags - slots, low weight, vendor purchaseable. Clearly better than backpacks - but also more expensive, and only sold in some places. Quite hard to afford and obtain as a newbie. How are medicine bags unbalancing to the game? They dont have 10 slots, they do not hold giant items, and they have zero weight reduction. Handmade backpacks, while heavier, are clearly better with 10 slots and WR. Shralok packs (which we all know SHOULD have been LORE like other WR magic dropped bags) are much better. There is nothing wrong with the old medicine bags - but if you are going to nerf them, at least be consistent like with CoS, manastone etc, and nerf them GOING FORWARD only. We worked for those medicine bags - sold our first cracked staff for 1pp to try to afford one, and now they are 10lbs and useless (unless you run around and trade them in for 6 slot versions that most, except monks, will want to upgrade to backpacks). For me personally, and I imagine for a lot of other players, I spent hours working for those bags, and later on I spent hours running around with my druid buying bags, and dropping them on the ground before relogging to another of my 14 characters, or my sons characters, so they could have decent bags. Now all my charcters are encumbered - stuck with useless bags, that I have to spend hours downgrading to backpacks while moving all my gear around. Why? I really do not understand it. Why not nerf things that are clearly not working as intended, such as magicians summoning eyes into walls and inviting for CotH at zone in, or shaman resetting canni with telescope, or that you can cast level 60 group buffs on level 1 characters while you cannot cast level 60 single buffs on a level 44 because that is how the game is supposed to work? Fix the broken problems - and leave our hard earned bags that are not unbalanced or detrimental to the game alone. Flame off!

![]() Medicine bags were upgraded from 6 slot to 8 slot in the LDoN expansion
This isnt nerfing medicine bags, its just making them appropriate for this era

![]() I kind of a relate in the sense that grandfathering in pre need medicine bags wouldn’t have been op. Not even a market for them really. Just frustrating for those of us who logged in not expecting this non sense.
Not blaming staff tho rly, my classic experience was not medicine bags. That was really more of a p99 thing, so I doubt it was true to classic experience, and may make crafted backpacks and stuff more viable. I still think they could have grandfathered them in tho, lol. Maybe that’s not logistically possible or significant enough to impact most players. It seems to have upset me really bad, meanwhile other ppl in same zones as me seem largely unaffected lol. Maybe I’m just poor. The rich bloods don’t even know what the struggle is like fr tho enchanter need to invest in tiny bags. I don’t have nearly as much trouble with weight on my necro or shaman.

![]() They did grandfather in prenerf bags, just at the cost of a lil extra weight and no drop.
I can deliver you some deluxe tool boxes if you are really stuck.

![]() This is a good example of priorities being messed up. Medicine bags were not hurting anyone and there are other things needing fixed well before this.

![]() That's what happens when you put swords and jewels in a sack intended for leaves and roots.
You've ruined your own bags...
