Post Is there a way to replace specific classic spell icons with customized ones?

Hello, I am looking for a way to replace some classic spell icons for specific spells with some customized ones I want to make. I imagine it has something to do with replacing specific files, and editing existing file for each spell.
For example, many of the Enchanter spells that have the same spell icon of a head silhouette with a white brain inside. So below is a customized version of the spell icon I want to use for the Mem Blur line of spells, and the original one for comparison.
I really like the look of the classic icons and just want to make a few changes. I have no interest in changing my icons to another set. Can anyone please provide a solution?

This is a list of the files that were replaced when I changed spell icons for my UI.

I've never messed around with editing spell icons, but presumably you'd have to edit 3 different files for each icon you want to modify. One for buff window, one for spell book, and one for spellbar.

Hardest part is probably figuring out which one is the correct one.

Thank you Grimgor. This helps me get one step closer to figuring this out, if it is possible.
If there is a file that assigns spell names with their spell icons, or the x,y coordinate of the spell icon in the images of the files in the previous post, maybe I could add the customized spell icons to those images via a program like Paint for the gem, spellbar, and spellbook icons in those files. Then if spell names are assigned to spell icons via the x,y coordinates, I could edit the x,y coordinates to match up with the new customized spell icons instead.
So, if anyone knows if there is a file that assigns spell names with their spell icons, or the x,y coordinate of the spell icon in the images of the files in the previous post, please let me know.

Thats all hardcoded. Theres no way to change/assign specific spells to anything else

All you can do is edit the icon templates Grimgor listed which will change all spells assigned to each icon slot

I was afraid of something like that. I really wish you could though. It would add to the quality of the game. Do you know if there is anyway to change the hard coding, for a modded version of Everquest?
