Default Can't open certain maps?

I've been struggling for a few hours trying to figure out why I cant open the map in Lesser Faydark

I have tried downloading new maps from mapfiend but this does not work. It's not that a blank map pops up (as if there wasnt map data) it's that the map interface does will not appear in LFay at all. If I delete all my maps I can still get a blank map in GFay but no interface at all in LFay.

Any ideas?

update: Tried the all in one installer to see if that would do anything, still no fix [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Maps are not classic, so they are disabled in most zones. Also, people QQ if you leave maps in for dungeons even though most people have eqatlas on a browser tab when they need a map. I would recommend that you do the same.

In newbie and city zones, they are left in because they have a pretty small effect on gameplay there. (omg I got to the bank a little faster! So game-breaking!)

I remember playing EQ at release and thought it was funny that I didnt remember there being maps and getting very lost. Thought I was just stupid back then, but now I know [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
