Default Potential fix for crashing while zoneing

The other day i compressed the drive i have EQ installed to after doing this i found i was crashing while zoning fairly frequently, upon uncompressed just my EQ folder the problem went away. So if any one is having issues like this on a machine they purchased preinstalled and configured with windows this may be worth looking into please post a response if you have success with this.

I have to ask: Why in this day and age do you feel you need to compress your hard drive?

To try and free up a minuscule amount of space lol, between my linux partitions windows 7 partition and multiple virtual machines I'm finding myself low on space so untill i add a SD drive to my laptop any little bit helps. The thought behind this post was that people who purchased there machines from a big box store pre configured could have HD compression turned on and not even realize it.
