![]() so i spend a lot of time in the outdoors, and bird IDing is a hobby i dabble in
i think there's a good argument to be made to rename some birds, especially the ones that are named something because of a particular circumstance/moment in time. having a name that better describes the bird, its habitat, features, etc., and standardizing that across the board, makes a lot of sense to me /shrug
