Unable to Enter World

I have installed the game and started playing on the Green server, but when I get to the character select and click "Enter World", it usually just hangs for several minutes and then goes back to the login screen where I enter my password. Occasionally it works and I can get into the game and then it all works fine, but the vast majority of the time it just kicks me back to the login screen without showing any kind of error message. Sometimes it shows a black screen that says "Server is not responding", but normally it doesn't say anything. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this or how to fix it?

Some info:
I am running on Windows 10 with intel i5 and an RTX 2070 and 16gb RAM
I am running the game through WinEQ2 as recommended in the startup guide, but I have the same problem when running the batch file directly.
All my drivers are up to date
My network connection is normally very stable, so I don't think it's a problem with my network?
I can reliably select the server and get to the character select screen without issue, it's just the "Enter World" that breaks.
Once I am in game I can play for hours without any issues or errors. (Although I have only been able to get in 3 or 4 times so far)

I'm not seeing any servers at all after entering password you not seeing that? you are making it to character select screen that would be pleasant.

Also I don't know if it's related to this or a different error, but sometimes when I attempt to join the green server, it will log me into a random one instead, and the UI is all messed up. Normally I just quit and restart and then it works fine. I'm more bothered about not being able to enter world because I would really like to play, but just thought I'd mention it in case it's related...
