Necro Epic: Is it recommended to kill Kazen Fecae?

Is it recommended to kill Kazen Fecae when doing the Necromancer Epic?

That essentially skips the first half of the quest, correct?

But let's face it, as a casual player, I'll probably end up having to buy an Eye of Innoruuk and Slime Blood of Cazic Thule...

Which is much more costly than a Zlandicar's Heart.

Skip the Epic? lol
