Hotspot or Tethering on Tmobile

So after ISP crashed the other night at beads camp, I couldnt hotspot or tether with eq. Today I finally discovered why. Tmobile blocks UDP on 5g, if you connect down at 4g, you can then hotspot tether. I tested this today and 4g worked (BTW VPN didnt help, i could get on discord just not voice and could browse fine, just not EQ at 5g
