Just curious how many chat windows you have open and for what fitters? I normally have 2-3. 1 is always auctions in case I go to EC, 1 is all chats, and the other is spells etc.

Does anyone separate these out anymore? | ||

Chat - Left Main Chat (default) - Middle Combat Chat - Right On my melee dps characters I have a hit damage window between main chat and combat chat. Which shows only the melee damage number. For auctions I keep it on my main chat, unless i'm searching for items/sales in EC. Then I'll make a temp window for auctions.

Normally, just the one Main Chat. Though it depends on which class I'm playing. Melee chars I move combat text to a second window. Pet classes have a Pet Hits window. Basically, I move stuff that "spams" Main Chat to other windows so I can keep up with "real" chat. I also always have others' hits/misses filtered out.

Right click and it's under the "hitsmode" options. Make sure you don't make the window too small - if it tries to show text and can't because it's too small eqgame.exe will crash.
