That "An unknown error occurred while trying to join the server" Issue (P99 Green)

Hey guys 'n' girls,

It's not the first time I've experienced the above, but certainly the most perplexing. I'll bullet point my actions and will be grateful for any helpful suggestions:

1. On zoning from EC to WC, I crashed. I ctrl+alt+deleted to close EQ.
2. I opened EQ and got the above error. I continued to do so numerous times over a 10 hour period and I'm still getting the same error.
3. I tried to log into Blue: no issue; to Red: no issue.
4. I logged into Green on my second account: no issue.
5. I tried all of the above on a second machine with its own install: *same* issue.

I've turned off/reset all associated hardware/software.

Oh, PS: I've also tried the suggestion in the FAQ - no luck.

issue randomly today - connecting to login -- timeout issue, no issue with connection as tested by win10 and Pcrepair.

Seems to be latency again, on login emu? Probably from some goons private server being a hotmess?
