Default Monk Solo Spots

Hey All,

I don't have much time to group anymore which sucks, but I do enjoy the hour or two I get to solo. I have a twinked monk with CoF, Fungi, IFS that is currently level 38.

So far had an awesome time in Crushbone, Unrest, Oasis, Najena, Sola, but am now having difficulty finding the next place. I have reviewed all the ZEM guides, player guides, searched forums, etc trying to find a place but was hoping for suggestions. For one reason or another I have stayed away from HHK expecting it to be over-camped/don't want to be 'that guy' who wont group because I only have a little playing time.

I did try CT but the amount of healing lizards and pull/aggro issues make it difficult but the ZEM is nice for the few I was able to kill.

I tried Kaesora but had the same issue as CT.

Tried OT, various mobs but it appears the HP are a little up there, take longer to kill, and exp is kinda poor.

I had my eyes on Permafrost but everything I read makes me think it will be like CT & Kaesora.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated from maybe 38-50?

Sol A gnomes and clocks are amazing experience through 42/43. There is one room where you may get 3, but you could split them easily. Otherwise, you'd have no trouble killing two at a time.

If I were a human monk, is the faction hit from the gnomes going to cause an issue for me anywhere significant? I guess I had counted them out due to faction.

I leveled from 36 - 51 in OT, I wasn't leaving that place till I had the OT hammer. The braid quest actually gives really good xp.

I would second this, assuming you can solo a Berserker (which, I don't know if you can or not with that setup). The quest is extremely good XP, like 1%+ of a level per kill at your level. It should make up for the poor XP modifier.

I did the following on my Monk in your level range with worse gear, but I prefer more relaxed camps and I don't mind killing greens if I still get steady exp.

38-41 Frontier Mountains Giant Fort, enter the fort and hang a left. Park by the fire pit/well looking thing and just kill every giant in sight on your side of fort plus in the middle on your half. Fast re-pops, tons of monsters, and good loot if you have a tink bag too.

41-46 Yeti Caves in DL, preferably the North cave. You can probably keep the entire cave clear with your gear.

46-51 Bloodgills in Lake of Ill Omen.

If you can do the quest, OT berserkers is a great option, the quest xp is great and easily compensate for the zem and the big added bonus is a free ot hammer...

I have a similar amount of playtime and made a monk for that reason. Have to agree that Sol A gnomes are awesome. Once those green out I would consider doing Grobb guards.

Zem is decent and the plat is good and they are all singles. They will be camped a decent amount but most people only solo the first 7 or 8. You can usually get another 5-6 in the back even if those are camped. Good exp to 51.

Another benefit is that lower Guk is probably only a 5 minute run from there if it’s camped. At 38 you can solo bedroom, GIBS, and spiders all for decent exp although there will be some exp greens in there. I spent a ton of time in Guk soloing there to 51 but it was much easier before the Sneak Nerf.

Crystal caverns will get you lvl 45 in no time. Do the terrors, spiders and Geo tunnels.
