Launcher crash - gfx resolution related

I have weird problem. If I launch the game under any resolution bigger than 1024x768 it crashes before the login screen. If I change my desktop resolution to 1024, then I can log in and once I have a character in game I can change the desktop back.

I checked some other threads about this and I edited my ini file for 1680x1050.

Once I'm in the game, it's displaying 1680 just fine, but I can't launch under that resolution. Any ideas? It's more of an annoyance than anything but I'd like to fix it.
