Smile Good leveling path for barb shammy and human monk?

[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] hello Adventurers
So me and my friend decided to duo because of so many players online, it just became hard to find groups. We decided to do a monk/shammy duo which I heard a lot of great things about. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

For the shammy: we decided roll a barb because its not an evil race and we would have more access to cities and banks etc[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

For the monk: we wanted to wait for kunark just for the iksar monk but that's until like november before it comes out and also theyre KOS [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] pretty much everywhere.

We dont really have much experience with playing those classes or with eq in general[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

So if you guys have any tips or ideas or suggestions that would be greatly appreciated! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

- dont waste mana on dots and nukes for the most part. Just buffs heals and slows
- dont bother buffing agi, mostly a waste of mana
- lots of other tips that I can't think of in my inebriated state, have fun

Try everfrost 1-4, collect spiderling silk (combine in pairs in sewing kits to sell later), turn in polar bear skins to Cindl, save grizzly bear and high quality bear skins to sell later
Then Qeynos Hills/Top layer of BB for the next few levels harvesting gnoll fangs until you're high level enough to solo inside until ~ level 11 or so. Turn them in either in Halas or Qeynos, I think the exp is equally good.
Then WK bandit camps, selling bronze and turning in sashes in Qeynos until you get bored, then switch to hunting wisps in WK and turning in lightstones to Myrsila at the gypsy camp.
Then go to a fun dungeon around 16, maybe the Gorge of King Xorbb now that the exp mod is improved, upper guk is still great, can't go wrong with Unrest.

Everfrost canyons, make up a bunch of spider threads and large tattered armour. Convert LQ pelts into leather padding. Save HQ bear pelts in bank, convert other pelts into bags. Maybe keep MQ pelts in bank for tailoring practice (studded armour and maybe bags).

Do gnolls for a couple of levels until you can start hunting polar bears, spiders and snow leopards on the tundra. Turn these silks into swatches, which you can turn into raw silk or cured silk armour for the monk, and if you are working smithing (worthwhile to do a little for making a bunch of javelins for the monk to pull with) you can use the studs you made to turn th MQ pelts into studded armour.

If you get bored of this the bandits in WK are very good cash and XP, especially if you turn their sashes in at Qeynos.

Items to collect are limestone rings and alligator earrings from qeynos sewers. Also in qeynos sewers you may want to try your luck on the frogloks to get some netted gloves - wearing a magic item in the glove slot will allow a monk's punches damage magical creatures like willowisps and ghouls. Save up those lightstones and greater lightstones to hand in for xp in North Karana.

Sadly, frogloks having flippers instead of feet, there are no netted slippers for magic kicks.

Don't bother buffing stamina or dex either. In fact I wouldn't even waste money on sta/agi/dex buffs until you are at least level 30+.

AC is king. I keep ac up, and feel like str helps (even if mainly in the realm of carrying more loot)!

I forgot to mention from 14-16ish you can start duoing the zone in of Permafrost for hq ore loots.
