cant connect too the server

hello i found this eq classic and am very excited too start but have hit a major road block.

i followed the direction here

upon trying too connect i get the error cannot establish network connection.

i have done the following.
uninstalled eq from its custom directory and reinstalled into its default directory

tried connecting with the two bat files whereupon i get the error windows can not find the eqgame.


also running as admin no fire wall or antivirus enabled on windows 10.

any help or direction more would be appreciated thank you.
