Default The selling of accounts

Why is this allowed?

We are not allowed to box characters, but power leveling and twinking is taking place in a rampant way. Fine, whatever.. that keeps everyone playing the game when they run out of things to do. But due to the ability to twink and power level getting a toon to level 30 or 40 doesn't take much effort at all.

Are we going for a genuine experience here or not?

The selling of accounts, even for in game money only, should be put to a stop.

speak for yourself Nerd, took me 6 months to get my Shaman to lv 35 and if I want to sell or trade him then why do you care?

It's not like we all haven't leveled multiple classes on live before.

What pisses me off is that it took me 6 months to get to level 35 and my toon isn't worth a quarter of what some stupid dagger with shitty stats given out on Kunarks release is.

Nice job completely ignoring the first half of the sentence.

I'm not sure why you think boxing is comparable to twinking or power leveling or account trading. Boxing is banned to discourage antisocial camp monopolies and to encourage social interactions amongst the player population. None of the other stuff has any negative effect on those things, boxing does.

And if the goal is to get people playing and having fun then why not?

I haven't played p1999 in a long time because I stopped enjoying my Shaman, wasn't a good match for me, etc....

So after a few weeks I finally traded him for a Rogue and now I'm excited about p1999, having fun and playing again.

Seems like a happy ending to me.

Except, the point of this thread that you and several other people fail to realize, is that in classic and as far as I'm aware, STILL, it is illegal to sell and trade accounts.

Is this a joke? Account trading was INSANELY rampant in classic.
