Default New Enchanter Charm

So I played a bit yesterday after not having played since the charm nerf.

I was kind of surprised after all the negative press, but I was able to charm solo Karnor's quite effectively (entrance through RCY). Pre-nerf I'd be able to charm those things for ~10 minutes; now about 5 - but still more than enough to solo and dealing with a charm break or two is not that bad when you keep the other mob rooted. I haven't tried Chardok where the mobs are higher level, but for charm soloing you really don't need much duration.

What is really obnoxious now is keeping a pet permacharmed in a group, since you have 2-3 times as many charm breaks. I finally gave up; my guy is now officially a poor wizard with great buffs, and about 50% less fun to play in groups now. Although its a hell of a lot easier to go AFK now [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Anyway, I would like to make a proposal which I am 100% sure will be ignored as not being classic. Since the charm system is already not classic at all (from what I have read charisma was almost worthless on classic, and I saw zero posts about how the new system is closer to classic), we might as well have a fun system.

My suggestion is that every time a mob is charmed it loses a cumulative -10 MR. So charm soloing is basically unaffected, but in a group as you continue to recharm and recharm you gradually end up with a more malleable pet.

I am sure this has 0 chance of being implemented, but I thought it was a cute idea.
