RE: the turn in of bracers of battle in the slaver cabin.

I turned in the Bracers of battle without doing anything but the dialogue " the king is dead" beforehand.

Didn't get the shoulders, any message in any chat channel, not even a message from the elf slave saying he hates me.

Im Dark elf. High elf Slave cons ready to attack but he still talks to me. Anyone know if this is due to faction? Do i need to do all the parts in order? Help is appreciated, I cant find anything about this online.
