Game discounts when trying to name character

Hi I have tried reinstalling a clean version of EQ titanium multiple times. I have disabled Norton antivirus as well as allowed the EQ client to be allowable through the firewall. None of this has helped. I have tried wineq2 and that has not helped.

Everything runs normal until I get to the point of naming the character I am trying to create and then says checking the server I wait about 2 minutes and then it disconnects.

I would really like to play this but I have been able to even make a character to date.

Have you tried using any other internet source? Starbucks, VPN, etc.?

What race and class are you trying to create?

Are you able to create other combinations?

Are you able to create a character on another server?

Yeah sounds like they are trying to make a non-classic combo, like halfling paladin.

Big sad, no Paladin Daniels in classic.

I am not trying to make a non-classic combo. I played original EQ back in 2000 till about 2006. I am just trying to make a simple barbarian shaman.

I cannot run my desktop on another internet source.

Cannot make characters on other servers. Have tried making troll and barbarian shaman. Always disconnects after it sends name to server after about 2 minutes of nothing.

Any person for the 1999 project that can help me with this issue? I would really enjoy playing classic EQ again.

Your internet it timing out. I cannot create a toon while at work on my works isp even though I can play just fine. Get a cheep usb WiFi adapter and connect via hotspot from your phone and try again.
