Exclamation Blacksmithing

Hey guys and gals,

I ran into a small issue, and, honestly unsure if I will be able to recreate the bug.
I play an Ogre SK, so, while in Oggok using the Oggok Forge by the general blacksmith vendor, Blergerda, I was making some https://wiki.project1999.com/Metal_Rings. After a few combines, a graphical issue occurred where my file took on the graphic of the metal rings (when hovered over the item showed it was metal rings), and one of my metal rings took on the graphic of the file resulting in some confusion. I found out what had happened upon attempting to continue making metal rings and when trying to combine I received the error message that I cannot combine the materials in the container.

How I fixed it - Once I realized what had happened, I clicked cancel on the oggok forge container box with the bugged file (metal rings with file graphic and name) and it fixed the metal rings (graphic and name). When I noticed this fixed the one I repeated the steps with the bugged file by putting it in the forge and clicking cancel.

*********
Also, not sure if this intentional but I am unable to do the combine for https://wiki.project1999.com/Steel_Boning. When attempting the combine I get the error that I cannot combine the material as if the recipe is disabled. (Yes, I triple verified that I was using the right components)

I believe some items can not be made in the "Ogguk Forge", (not sure if this is bug or classic) have you tried a normal forge? there's one in Grobb.

This is only somewhat related to the OP, but im 99.5% certain the bolded part is not classic. I distinctly remember tradeskill containers eating anything that wasn't a legit recipe when pushing combine in early EQ. People used the tailoring kits as bags and had to be careful to not accidentally combine them and lose the contents.

Player carried bags *may* work differently than forges though? Hmm

I think they are well aware that classic is to eat items, but this server is run by volunteers and the increase in CSR load would be immense. It hardly takes anything away from the game in 2019, where you aren't experimenting with recipes, you are using a recipe you found on line. It's just a pain and not having that pain for the benefit of the staff seems like a worthwhile trade.

Can confirm the recipe does work in standard forge in Oggok (Metal Armer shop) but not the cultural forge thanks!
