Blacksmithing large lantern help

I have been trying to make a large lantern in the forge as the P1999 wiki says to make using the mold and a bottle metal bits and water. When I try to merge them it says I cannot make them in that container. I have tried this in the Grobb as well as the Oggok forge. Is t here something I am doing wrong?

Is that one of the things that you can't make in a racial forge? I know there are some strange restrictions with those.

This is likely the issue. OP make sure you're using a normal, non-cultural forge. They look similar, but when you open them the cultural one has a different title (I believe ... haven't smithed anything in ages).

Are there non-cultural forges in those cities? I can only think of the one in Oggok, but maybe there is another one back in the crafting area near the bank somewhere.
