new and lost

hi all, new to the game, friend told me about the server and th game decided to give it a shot while i recover from spine surgery.
first time I installed I couldnt get it to connect to play even after opening the port, verifying the exception in the firewall and several restarts, so I decided to uninstall and do a fresh start, now when i click the Launch Titanium I get a "You can not attach a debugger while playing project 1999" followed with an "eqgame.exe application error"

hoping someone here can help me out some and lead me in the correct direction
