Default Pet Run Speed or Melee Range.

I am not 100% sure but I believe pets ran slightly faster than Mobs or Had a greater Melee range than they do currently. Maybe someone else can confirm or deny this. I have searched the interwebz with no luck.

The problem I am having is my pet can not damage or taunt a mob that is chasing me unless the mob is snared. I remember slowly taking down tough/resistant mobs kiting at full speed with SoW while pet Melees with taunt off. I could keep aggro with spell resists etc. I just can not remember what era. It could have been Kunark but I am pretty sure it was classic. Pet run speed would either need increased a small % or Melee distance increased slightly.

Any thoughts? Correct me If I am wrong.

It can be a major problem on certain mobs. I just would like to get a fix if possible. Thanks =)
