total war games

Just recently got into the Total War games. They are pretty fucking awesome. Can anyone reccomend me the best game in the series?

I liked Rome, didn't get into the rest unfortunately but I expect them to kick as much ass.

Personally, I like Rome Total War the best. However, I have not played the newest one, Shogun. The Medievel ones are good games, I played the first one extensively years ago, and the second one is a better, newer version of it for the most part. Kinda cant go wrong with any of them, except maybe the first as its pretty outdated and the campaign mode has some glaring flaws.

Steam has a demo for Shogun. It's pretty bad ass. I didn't get very far into it but it looks epic. Runs really well on my laptop; i7 hd5870 mobility and 6 gigs of ram.
