I think people are overly worried about drinking "unsafe water" especially in the wild in survival situations.

Please don't die of dehydration because something is 'dirty'.

Our whole planet is covered in micro-organisms, many, if not most are beneficial. Disease isn't caused solely by bacteria and microbes. It's also caused by environmental pollution and contaminants and unhealthy immune systems.

Really clean, healthy, filtered, minerally fortified water is safe nice, but it's nothing but a luxury.

Also, you can take just about any water, put it in a cistern, and let it filter through porous limestone rock and get excellent mineral water on the other side. And it doesn't cost a ton of money or use a lot of electricity or fossil fuels or plastics to obtain.
