Necro Pet question?
anyone know why my pet switches targets on multiple mobs?
Say I pull 2 mobs and have it attack one mob I am focusing on. It switches targets, I try to back it off and attack focused mob, but doesn't. Any help? Thanks

It just happens. It's annoying and I don't see how it can be fixed.

Is that considered a bug or is that regular game play?
As far as I can remember I was able to let pet back off and attack anything on command back in 99.. hmm sucks..

I think this is somewhat related but I was wondering this myself. There are 2 commands: /pet attack and /pet kill. I thought that maybe the latter would be used for a "kill this target and don't switch mobs ever" while the former would do what the OP talked about.
I have tried /pet kill but it doesn't seem to help anything, so does anyone know what the difference is?

pretty sure it's an emu bug, and it's annoying but i'm not sure if there's an easy fix on it

The pet will focus on the target drawing the most aggro. This is the same way live behaves. The pet will often switch targets, beating both mobs down at equivalent rates. In fact, on live, they added AAs specifically to allow you to tell the pet to focus on one target.
There is an issue if one of the mobs starts to flee, when pet is on two mobs. The pet will ignore the fleeing mob. There is a fix in the works for that issue. Haynar
