Was it Luclin textures or did Velious come with the better oldworld textures? I thought it was Velious...

Anyone else notice how many things look a lot brighter with Luclin textures as well? I wonder if this has anything to do with the reason why armor colors look different than the pics from classic era (since we know that the color codes were not changed).

The vid makes them appear darker yes. My assumption is that the client change is what caused the off-colors. How many people were using the Luclin client with old models on, wearing old planar armor and such to notice? Probably not a whole lot.

I am curious how some of the newer clients display this stuff and if there will ever be a way to fix the lighting issues in-game. It really seems to be a lighting thing to me causing everything across the board to be brighter which washes out/changes armor colors.

It is nice not getting eye pains from playing EQ anymore. It used to bother me a lot after a couple of hours back on live..
