Game Mechanics: Going Linkdead should drop Invis

Not sure if you have any interest in recreating this bug, but apparently going LD should drop invisibility. I had a friend test this for me on P99 and confirmed it was not dropping invis after /q. Below patch shows when this bug was fixed.

05/08/2002 Patch:

Invisibility should now remain after a link death.

8/26/2001 - Confirmation this was happening in era here:

I've been having trouble with my connection lately and get disconnected
sometimes. I noticed that if I am invisible when I disconnect I will always
come back with invis stripped. Is this a bug? Could I be attacked *after*
LD or only if I was aggroed before I went LD? So far I haven't died from it
so I suspect you don't aggro mobs after LD.

Along those lines i have /q with invis on and came back to notice it was
down...at first i thought it may have just run out while the server was
terminating me but seems as tho even if i just cast it and /q its gone when i
return. Seems to stay up when i camp.

Have noticed the same thing. Invis indeed drops when going LD. Pretty
annoying!

Let me know if you need additional evidence or just don't want to implement this. Not sure if it would affect any game changing dynamics (maybe some necro / sk / monks that invis before they FD and /q the agro). It appears that only a LD would drop it, not camping out with it on.

What I don't know is if this affected just the actual spell 'Invisibility' or any spell that is in the invisibility line (IVU, Improved Invisibility, Gather Shadows, Camo, Invisibility to Animals, etc). If you want to implement for all invis lines but want more evidence I'll try and find at least one other line that people said were dropping on Linkdeath.

Hmmm.... take this comment for what it's worth. Fact or Tall Tale? Suggested Camo didn't drop after LD on his druid

Wolf Form would be a lot better if you didn't lose it when you
went LD. This has killed me a couple of times and nearly killed
me on the weekend but luckily my camo was still up when I came
back so I just walked (slowly) to safety and recast.

Probably was a regression between 1999 and 2001 that was fixed in the 2002 patch.
