ranger gear

so im thinking of starting a ranger, what would be the best gear to get for him?

i have 60k plat, and am guessing i can get him what ever gear needed to lvl a bit easier

I would not go all out yet just buy the basics djarn ring(sp) fbss and a good 2 hander til u get duel wield. Alot of weapons and other gear is gona be replaced in the next few weeks when kunark is released. But fbss and djarn ring and couple other pieces is still top gear thru out kunark. If u dump into gettin yaks or other gear u will be replacing in a month or two with kunark drops.

Purchase two Plat Fire Wedding Rings. Purchase a Hooded Black Cloak. Purchase a Mithril Breastplate. Purchase a Polished Steel Dirk and a Polished Granite Tomahawk.

Thank said druid, hit your tracking hotkey a lot, and get to 46. Find out who's zerg recruiting for raiding guilds, get your free revultant whip and fluxbladed axe. Pay a wizard 200pp to port you to skyplane. You may need to wait a good 10-12 hours before a belt of the pine invariably drops off of the isle 1 princess. Either beg pity for poor class selection or fork out some of your leftover plat in exchange. Loot haste belt.

Afk until Kunark.

Buy a ton of hp gear.

Buy quick-2handers, such as GZ (fastest affordable 2hslash before Kunark), Glowing wooden crook (to maintain 2hb skill, as the woodsman's staff from City of Mist in Kunark is an awesome weapon), PGT (incredible weapon up to your 20s because it = free hp and str).

Profit.
