Black screen with EQ cursor showing

I just installed EQ on Win 7 64bit and I cant seem to find any answers as to why I get a black screen and the gold EQ cursor showing when the game starts up. I've gone through and reset my eqclient.ini files, and still nothing is working. When i start the game up I get a black screen and all that shows up is the cursor. The only way I can currently play the game is putting it in windowed mode via Alt-Ctrl-Ent. I would like to play it in full screen mode so if any of you guys have a solution i'll be glad to try it.
