Default 37 monk

My monk is currently 37 and i've been using Wu's Quivering staff (and occasionally 2x wu's trance stick) as my weapons.

some other gear info - i have schw for haste, robe of living fungus, and hp/ac rings.
also wearing almost a full set of wu's armor.

I'm looking to get the most impactful upgrade i can for ~3.5k (maximum)

I'm thinking this means upgrading my weapon.

For a mostly solo, relatively untwinked monk what weapon upgrade would be most efficient, ive been thinking Peacebringer, but would love some input on that vs 2 1 handers or even other 2hb weapons i can afford.

I think the gear you have now is fine. If you wanted you could save your plat and focus on leveling and getting your epic. If you're set on upgrading your weapon, I would recommend going for a 2hb since you solo a lot. 2hb would help you avoid eating a lot of riposte damage while still doing heavy damage. The drawback of the PB is that it will almost certainly put you over your weight limit, although it does fantastic damage. Imbued Fighters Staff is comparable in price and damage, and is lighter. The problem with IFS is that since it's slower, your misses are more noticeable and more impactful.

Really I think it will come down to which tradeoff you prefer.

You have better gear than I did until I was 50ish.

Buying any good 2HB (PB, IFS, TStaff) has been difficult in the past couple weeks because people are hoarding them in anticipation of a price spike when the triple attack / 2hb damage bonus patch comes in. At level 37, PB or IFS will be a little better damage than Jade Mace / Knuckle Dusters and a little worse damage than Jade Mace / Stave of Shielding. As you get more levels, 2HB will be a progressively worse and worse option (until the patch comes out, at which point many monks will stop dual wielding).

Make a copy of this spreadsheet and plug in your level on the Character tab if you want to see what various weapons look like (and feel free to add in more weapons if something you're interested in isn't in the spreadsheet): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1797596971.

In general, it's good to have both a 2HB weapon (when a mob has a damage shield) and some dual wield weapons (when you need to push a mob to interrupt spell casts).

Getting tink bags and jboots were both life changers for me. Weapons will make you more effective, but bags and movement speed will improve your quality of life.
