![]() I've met so many nice people on both red and blue who have offered to give me what probably amounts to hundreds of thousands of plat worth of items over the years, maybe millions (I don't buy anything ever or sell much either, I have no idea).
To me my experience on the server is that if you earnestly help people with their quests, sometimes it will be the alt of some powergamer who will try to hook you up with great stuff. All of my characters use only what they themselves loot from mobs they've reasonably assisted in killing/camping/questing ect. So I'll never accept this stuff, but I am very grateful for the sentiments. Expressing this just seems to make people want to try to give me more stuff. I wonder how often beggars screw themselves out of similar situations by begging instead of just playing the game? For the people who give significant stuff away, I wonder if beggars evoke feelings in them sort've like when I buy presents for my kids and then they ask me for the exact thing that I was going to give them anyways. It kills a bit of the fun for me because they've removed the component of me coming up with it myself. | ||
