He sits before the screen. Its blue glow reflects on his face. The hum of the fans and the laptop cooler fill the space.

The avatar spins before him. It has been many iterations just watching it spin. Reflecting on choice. What is a man supposed to do with this existence? This life.

I waste God's time he thinks to himself.

He knows the truth of it, he plays a game. All know its a game but very few reflect on it. Life is really not much different is it?

There is another game he should be playing. One with a flesh avatar, he didn't get to choose his statistics but he was well rolled.

He is strong, agile, dexterous (and that stamina!)
Possessed with raw intelligence, wisdom beyond his years.
With natural charisma.

What does this man do with these gifts? Squanders them in a pixel palace.

There are other souls also possessing other avatars, also wasting their lives. He tells himself 'I enjoy my time with these people' and he do.

Cheers really was a sad place when you think about it.

Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.

Misery loves company. He came back here to hide, and got lost in Norrath. It's not that you don't know the way out, it is the nature of this world is you take it with you. You think of it, sometimes dream of it. You make plans for it, it is inserted into you.

How does one put down what does not wish to be parted with?

We are all children of God, no matter what we do.

For what purpose though? Did God put us on earth to waste our lives in such a manner? This must be some kind of sin. This must be some kind of sin.

It is a prison of sorts, but it is a prison which you willingly/unwillingly participate.
