New player saying Hello!

Greetings!
I just wanted to stop by and to say hello!
I am a brand new to this everquest stuff.

Altho i have been playing MMOs since 1999 starting with Asheron's call.

I recenty grow tired of modern day MMOS and wanted to give EQ p99 a try.

Im not looking to get spoonfed and carried thru the early stages of the game.

Tho i would appreciate if there is some sort of starting guide that can be linked and stuffs like that!

Hey man,

Best way to discover EQ is to just go ahead and play the game. Don't use any online resources. Just play the game, you will experience the actual EQ as close as you can get to the classic experience (the best one!)

Welcome to the game, it's a bloody fantastic one at that.

While I do tend to echo Izmael, especially if you've never done the EQ thing before, I will leave this link here for you.

It's a little out of date (There are no class xp penalties any more for instance), but the basics are there. It's rather spoiler free if you stay off the wiki links, and more so gives you the information you'd get from reading the manual that came with a box of EQ and a nice overview of how people interact.

I'm not too keen on promoting any guild, but the guy above has a guild that sort of runs without the spoon feeding (Twinking etc). I've been playing in it with a character that actually matches my account name. So feel free to hit me up if you have questions in game as well.
