Installed EQ Titanium. Server Select Error?

Hello tech discussion, I recently installed my old copy of everquest titanium and zipped the project1999 spellfiles into my EQ directory, but about 75% of the time I go the server select screen I don't see any servers? That other 25% of the time when I click on project 1999 scars of velious server it freezes up then gives me an error 1017. Should I try reinstalling the client? Perhaps there was an error during installation? Any advice helps, really want to get started.
