Ogre Stun Immunity and Interrupt Question

I'm new. I want to play a Shaman and I'm picking between Ogre and Troll for the race.
I browsed some threads on the subject and a thread from 2010

said that mobs do not use pushback and instead interrupt spells just by attacking.
And this would make a technique where you back into a wall or corner to avoid being interrupted by pushback obsolete.

This would seem to make Ogres not as good a candidate for shaman.
Hopefully the game's mechanics have changed now.

1. Do mobs use pushback in 2016?
2. Do mobs interrupt Ogre's just by attacking them in 2016?
