Default New player. Haven't played since Luclin launched.

Hey everyone. I just started playing when I realized these servers have a time lock on them. I played during the progression launch but I found it to be total shit because it was day 2 or 3 that people were unlocking stuff and dumping all over anyone who couldn't play 20 hours a day.

As a returning player, can someone shoot me the real basics? Where grind spells / where to get starter armor?

I started a DE Cleric.

Thanks in advance.

Most of the things you are looking for can be found on the wiki:

this server just released Vel and its old school. here they try to keep it as classic as possible. you can either try red or blue server, red is PVP and has higher exp while grping but lacks in terms of population, blue is PVE and is as close to classic live as it gets but still got those 20hours a day deals going.

DE cleric i would just play and dont go to far from home. lol

If you need money for spells, you picked a pretty good starting area. Save your bone chips, spider and spiderling silks, and high quality pelts and sell them in East Commonlands. You can also sell the orc belts once you get a little higher up.

Your first priority it to get a decent ratio weapon and your spell money.

For armor you should probably shoot for banded as its not that heavy, since you are a weak DE. It's not terribly expensive, usually goes for 1pp per AC.
