Has anyone got their sprint palm pre to connect to internet via USB bluetooth adapter

Got all the pre-dl's for it, my brother spent hours trying to get it to work not sure what all he actually did, but does anyone know if sprint palm pre's work with mytether to support internet? or does this being a palm phone just totally shut that hope in the dirt? :P either way any help would be greatly appreciated, i know people have done it before, and i've always had unlimited data plan with sprint, but for some reason just this phone wont work for it, have had it for 2-3 years now and have never tried
