Getting involved as dev

I recently read a series of interviews with Rogean about maintaining P1999 security, and now I'm curious how I might be able to donate my time to help out with development generally (not with security in particular.)

Can we start a thread of resources for those who are interested in learning the technical aspects of EQ and the server/client relationship? Does such a resource already exist?
