I did levels 57-60 over the course of a week (about 2 weeks ago) on my bard in WL.

There really wasn't a 'line' for Elder beads at any point in time. There were a few brief moments when there wasn't anyone in the cave at all.

Shit has changed since velious was new.

You'd know that if you did anything other than forumquest.
