Default Twitchy characters and server dc's

Hi folks, hopefully I just did something wrong but not sure what is going wrong.

Installed everything and followed the directions from the getting started page, logged in and everything was fine and dandy. Didn't do much just scribed some spells and killed a rat.

Logged out for a while and came back to it and the avatar in the character select screen was very twitchy and jittery, thought nothing of it so I logged in. Once in it was the same, controls seemed a mix of unresponsive or over sensitive and mobs around me were also twitching etc. Tried zoning and it was the same

logged completely out, deleted the eq folder reinstalled etc etc. tried to log in and was booted to the log in screen after trying to load the world. Deleted the character and tried making a new one and same thing. Anyone know what I'm doing / did wrong?

Sorry and thank you for moving the post.

Not sure if it matters but I'm running windows 7 64bit, when I get home I'm going to try it on one of my xp machines and also try to run with xp compatibility mode on.

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. What I'm really confused about is that it worked flawlessly the first time around.

Google WinEQ2. Install it.
