The Sword of Shannara

I enjoyed the Dark Elf Trilogy from R.A. Salvatore. You'll also see a P99 guild name mentioned in those books, Bregan D'Aerth ! It's a great fantasy series (there are many more than the trilogy, but that is a good place to start) about Dark Elves, the Underdark , wars, deceit, magic, treachery, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed many of these books. Brandon sanderson - literally anything hes written

Way of kings, mistborn, and steelheart are all good books to start on with him, but keep in mind theyre all ongoing series

3rd way of kings book is coming out next year, hes currently finishing up the 2nd arc of mistborn, and the final steelheart book will be out in february i believe

definitely agree with the Sanderson recommendation. Especially if you enjoyed how he finished off the wheel of time. Some others that I have liked:

Brent Weeks - Night angel trilogy is awesome, and the lightbringer series is off to a good start
Robin Hobb - Farseer Trilogy
Jim Butcher - Codex Alera series and the Dresden files are good reads
Michael J Sullivan - Riyria Revelations
Steven Erikson - the malazan series

I am going to have to agree with the Brandon Sanderson recommendation as well.

I just finished reading The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance (The first two books in "The Stormlight Archive") and I was engrossed for weeks.

Another one I would recommend reading is The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, which is part of a three book trilogy ("The Kingkiller Chronicle"). The first two books in the trilogy were excellent, and the 3rd is due some time next year.

I read the dragonlance entire classic series, you'll like R.A. salvatore for sure nothsa. Start with the dark elf trilogy: Homeland and you'll be hooked by the end of the second chapter.

The last WoT book was the worst book I have ever read. I can't see how anybody would read anything Sanderson has written after that dumpster fire.

Reading Pathrick Rothfus right now. Thus far it's two books 1) The Name of the Wind , 2) The Wise Man's Fear.

So far it has less combat and 'magic' as the wheel of time books but the character development and how the story is told is incredible.

Thanks everyone for your opinions, Btw i have read most of the RA Salvatore work but your suggestion is on point. Will do some homework on some of those authors.
