![]() I enjoyed the Dark Elf Trilogy from R.A. Salvatore. You'll also see a P99 guild name mentioned in those books, Bregan D'Aerth ! It's a great fantasy series (there are many more than the trilogy, but that is a good place to start) about Dark Elves, the Underdark , wars, deceit, magic, treachery, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed many of these books. ![]() I am going to have to agree with the Brandon Sanderson recommendation as well.
I just finished reading The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance (The first two books in "The Stormlight Archive") and I was engrossed for weeks. Another one I would recommend reading is The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, which is part of a three book trilogy ("The Kingkiller Chronicle"). The first two books in the trilogy were excellent, and the 3rd is due some time next year.

![]() The last WoT book was the worst book I have ever read. I can't see how anybody would read anything Sanderson has written after that dumpster fire.

![]() Reading Pathrick Rothfus right now. Thus far it's two books 1) The Name of the Wind , 2) The Wise Man's Fear.
So far it has less combat and 'magic' as the wheel of time books but the character development and how the story is told is incredible.
