![]() Hi everyone - I'm an old returning player who used to play EQ from launch up until PoP came out. I have tried some emulated EQ servers in the past (SoD, and a few others) but I really have been putting off trying P1999 because I'm afraid of how addicted I'll become, lol.
On live I had a necromancer and got him from 1-50 completely solo...in fact, I didn't even know you could group with someone until around level 48 when someone invited me to a group when I was doing a trade in the EC tunnel. I ended up quitting with a few hundred AAs after having raided the heck out of PoP and had some RL stuff come up (and the servers died off). I also had a maxed enchanter with like approximately 75 AAs. I've been considering coming to check out P1999 but had a few questions (and I apologize ahead of time if these are already in a FAQ, I did try and find them but thought I'd ask): 1. Epics are in the game, right? They were there when Kunark came out I believe, and were added after a time. One thing I regret is despite all of my raiding, I never got my epic. Just couldn't get all the drops to align. I would like to fix that this time around. 2. Is joining a raiding guild and obtaining an epic even possible? I've heard that P1999 is a pretty top-heavy game since there is only the one server and most everyone is maxed out... 3. How difficult is it to find a solid group or dedicated guild? When I first played live, I literally solo'd everything until I started raiding. I don't want to do that this time. I want to group every chance I get and actually meet people. 4. As a side note and follow-up to that previous question... what sorts of classes are going to have a good time finding a group/raid group? I assume clerics are in top demand, but I was curious about Bards and/or Enchanters? The only thing I disliked was having to "hope" a boss dropped my spells (as a necro/enchanter). I had tons of twinks and alts and I am confident I can competently play any class, so I was thinking of playing a melee or hybrid this time around and any advice or feedback is appreciated. Other than that, any other words of wisdom or whatever are appreciated! | ||
