How do these like, secondary sky item upgrades work?

Monk Test of Fists
Reward: Wu's Tranquil Fist (upgrades to Wu's Fist of Mastery)

I just dont know how to upgrade from the Tfist to the wu fist?

You don't. That's for old, old sky items before they were revamped. Can't get the originals any more.

eventually they replaced many of the plane of sky quested items on live with upgraded forms

we have all of the upgraded versions right now, although some of them aren't supposed to be upgraded yet

if you had the original item before the upgrade, you are able to turn it in for the upgraded version

tl;dr you're gonna get the better item

The sky upgrades shouldn't have happened until mid Velious.

Which is why we have the ridiculously OP Monk sky fists right now. Those things are supposed to be crap.
