![]() Today was my first time playing on this server and I have to say, I am enjoying it to the fullest. However, I did notice one odd thing while I was online. I saw several people in the game that I couldn't use the /who *name* command.
What was odd was I could do a regular /who that tells me everyone in the zone and these players would show up on the list. But doing a specific /who *name* (without asterisks) or a /who all *name* (again without asterisks) Is this a common or already known issue? Or is it something odd on my end? Thanks.

![]() I've had that a few times too. Curious to see what the answer is.

![]() You cannot do a /w on zones, so someone whose name is similar to a zone will not show up. For example I have a magician named Elemental who will not show up and a SK named Nightmare who also would not show up. Elemental for the elemental planes in PoP and Nightmare based on PoNightmare also from PoP.

![]() As far as I understand it, any name that exists in the database cannot be searched if it is used as a name. It will display in a zone /who but you cannot search for Cazic of Divinity (?) because of this. There are a few other cases as well on this server that are based off of that situation.

![]() All incorrect answers.
The issue lies in the client interpreting those names as a race, and sending the race id to the server instead of the name when doing a who all. It can't be fixed, other than disallowing names to be created that would match any of those. In order to do that we would need to somehow extract all the strings of race names from the client, which may be possible to do with a third party program but I haven't had the time.

![]() In some cases you can put their name in quotes for it to work. You also can do who on zone names. /who all guktop for example works.
You can also put guild names in quotes (with spaces included) to see all of their members. Not sure if it shows anonymous people, though.

![]() A friend of mine can go as far as /who all class "guild" zone
I can't do this but I've heard of other players that can. Any word on this?

I heard that if you do a /who all Magician during peak times you might blow up your computer... possibly the internets too.
