Does anyone have a newbie suit of gear for around the 2K mark?

(My brother's happiness is worth more than 2K that's just what I have at the moment)

Buy him the best instruments you can afford, and tell him to get to kiting! He should target Overthere ASAP, that seems to be the zone where bards get the most community love.

A set of small/medium bronze should be pretty cheap - that's all he really needs, or even banded would get him rolling.

I'd spend most of the plat on JC items and/or weapons.

just get him 2 hp rings, dex/cha veil, iksar scaled gloves, mm battle drum, lute of gypsy princess, sludged girdle, tattered mantle, sion partisan, melod trunch, set of banded, and send him on his way
