Good Morning!
Recently my gaming group's interest in EverQuest has peaked since the announcement of the Ragefire server. I played around a bit on the beta server and had fun, but the knowledge that it is going to cost monthly really kinda put me off of it. Very recently I learned about Project '99 and I'm looking into possibly playing here instead of doing a live server as it seems to have many of the elements that are really pumping us up about playing again. I'm concerned about the lower level population for grouping and other minor issues but I can figure those out while playing. My primary question is about the bandwidth usage of actually playing on the Project 99 servers. We have a player who is on a limited usage internet and the reason he is interested in playing EQ is because it appears to use a max of about 50 MB an hour. I don't see any reason why Project 99 would use more than that, however there are tons of variables that could cause it to have higher usage than the Live game. So my question is, does anyone who currently plays know about how much (on average) bandwidth they use while playing? Obviously there will be some hours that spike and some hours that dip under but just looking to get an idea. Thanks! | ||
