Default new to EQ

I'm a complete noob and I can't seem to find any quests. I type in the keywords and the quests dialog don't pop up like it does on live.

Is there a manual I should read before playing Project 1999?

You can look at them on the wiki, the old quests are just straight text prompts usually surrounded by [ brackets] after hailing the correct mob

I feel like your classic EQ experience is so virgin that the question is too intimidating to answer.

There isn't an in game directory of anything really. Maps, quests etc..

Classic is EQ is more about killing NPCs and gaining experience & items from them. There are quests, but they're not for character progression persé.

No manual as such, there's a "guides" section on the P99 wiki though which might be helpful.

Have a poke through those, there's some newbie ones in there too.

No problem. Classic EQ has to be one of the hardest things to give a decent answer to a general question about...happy reading. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask.

Yeah, Swish is right. Wiki is your friend in this game for pretty much all things. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
